CREDIT CARD Q & A

Q. If I voluntarily close my credit card does the interest I am being charged stop?

A. No. Closing an account means you'll no longer be able to buy things with that credit card. But the issuer will continue to charge interest and expect you to keep making monthly payments until your balance is paid off.
